The wine

A Bruichladdich 10 Year Old bottled in 2016, made with barley peated to 167 ppm and matured in bourbon and white Grenache casks in P2, a stone warehouse in the village of Port Charlotte. This second edition of Octomore 10 Year Old was a limited edition of 18,000 bottles.

In 2002, Bruichladdich's master distiller Jim McEwan decided he wanted to create the peatiest whisky in the world, adding Octomore to its range range of unpeated (Bruichladdich) and very peated (Port Charlotte) whiskies.
