Lot presentation
Saint-Aubin La Fontenotte Marc Colin & Fils 2009
The wine
Saint-Aubin La Fontenotte is a wine to be savoured in its youth for a full appreciation of its fresh fruitiness. It has been élevaged for 10 months in oak barrels. The nose is expressive and dominated by floral aromas, along with some citrus notes. In the mouth, élevage is detectable – although subtly integrated – and combined with a lively acidity.
About the Producer Marc Colin
Of the many Colins in Burgundy, Domaine Marc Colin is perhaps the most famous. This Saint-Aubin estate asserted its reputation thanks to its high-flying whites. The winery has an impressive collection of terroirs in Chassagne, Puligny and several works of the mythical Montrachet. It is now his children, Caroline and Damien, who are at the head of the estate but they remain loyal to the property's identity. The quest for precision and accuracy is impressive, whether in the vineyard, during vinification or in the élevage. The red wines are also of a very high quality. A location which is not-to-be-missed in the Côte de Beaune.
