The wine
This cuvée from Dalla Valle is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. 60% of it is raised in French oak barrels. It will seduce you with its intense fruit and sweetness (slightly more pronounced than in Bordeaux). A superb wine.
About the Producer Dalla Valle
Dalla Valley is a domaine located in the hills near Oakville in the Napa Valley. It is a small family vineyard founded in 1986 by Gustav Dalla Valle and his wife Naoko. This domaine rapidly made great strides and has achieved a very high level (a score of 100/100 from Parker for the 1992 vintage). Their consultant is Michel Rolland. Wines from this domaine are characterised by good concentrations, rich tannins and well blended acidity.
