Lot presentation

Château Teynac 2011

The wine

Once directors of a communications business in Paris, Philippe and Fabienne Pairault decided to devote themselves to Médoc in 1990 and bought Château Teynac in the heart of the village of De Beychevelle. Planted on the Saint-Julien plateau, the vineyard is mostly populated with Cabernet Sauvignon, including some Merlot and a small allocation of Petit Verdot. The vineyard is worked according to environmentally-friendly methods (Level 3 HEV certified and SME ISO 14001). Harvests are manual and vinification is traditional in stainless steel and concrete vats, while wines mature in (30% new wood) barrels. An impressive Saint-Julien property, well worth discovering.
