One of the wines to have played a part in building the legend that is Bordeaux; rare depth and concentration, but not at the expense of exceptional elegance and perfect balance.

Château Latour 1er Grand Cru Classé 1983
The wine
Latour's wines show exemplary consistency, whatever the quality of the vintage. Firm, tannic and concentrated in their youth, they require long cellaring to reveal the full depth of their power and extraordinary richness. When perfectly mature, the wine has an incredible bouquet of blackcurrants, hazelnuts and leather. A monumental wine.
About the Producer Château Latour
Created in around 1680, Château Latour is one of the oldest vineyards in the Médoc. There is a central plot known as the Enclos with 47 hectares of old vines that are maintained with extreme care, as these are the ones used to make the grand vin. Another 18 hectares of external plots, consisting of vines less than ten years-old and potentially declassified plots are used to produce the property's second wine, Les Forts de Latour.
