But the château spent most of the 20th century in complete anonymity. It was not until 2009, when the estate was purchased by Jacky Lorenzetti, founder of Foncia, who also owns 50% of the Issan estate, that the prestigious history of Pédesclaux was resurrected. After an overhaul of all the facilities and a winery designed by the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the château is producing fine and elegant wines. A Pauillac to be watched closely
