        Dufouleur Père & Fils

The history of the family business began in 1848, when Symphorien Dufouleur decided to establish the Dufouleur Père et Fils trading house in Nuits-Saint-Georges. At the end of the 19th century, Symphorien’s eldest son, Alexis, followed in his father’s footsteps, taking it upon himself to significantly increase sales, particularly on the export market. The business was handed from Father to Son for more than 150 years. It was subsequently acquired and changed ownership several times. Meanwhile, the size of the vineyard continued to grow and was enriched by the acquisition of new plots of vines. Today, the business sources its grapes and must from over forty different villages in Burgundy and Beaujolais. It has forged an international reputation for producing wines that reflect the wealth and elegance of these regions, with finesse and authenticity.
