Gérard Julien & Fils

Etienne Julien, the fifth generation of winemakers, is in charge of the estate located in the commune of Comblanchien, near Nuits-Saint-Georges. With a passion for vines and wine, he took over from his parents Gérard and Ghislaine. He skilfully combines his family’s traditional expertise with his vision of wine and the latest developments in technology. In the winery and in the vineyard, he follows a natural, low-interventionist philosophy. His ethical approach has earned him several awards from the prestigious Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin du Clos Vougeot. While the estate’s flagship production focuses on the Côte de Nuits Villages plots, the vineyard also cultivates a few hectares of vines in the Côte de Beaune. Today, with ten hectares stretching through the finest terroirs in the region, the winemaker celebrates the region he loves by crafting remarkably well balanced, and flavourful wines.
