From 1963 onwards he consistently reduced chemical treatments at his vineyards. The domain achieved certified organic status in 1980 and is generally thought of as a pioneer. Pierre’s daughter Jacqueline took over the property in 1984 and has continued to work with the same philosophy as her father. Certified as biodynamic in 1992, Domaine Pierre Andre is one of a kind, and undoubtedly one of the best wines in the appellation today.
