Wine for sale: Pierre Vincent
Pierre Vincent
Domaine Pierre Vincent expresses the very essence of Burgundy’s terroirs through cuvées that reflect them with striking clarity. The winemaker crafts rare bottlings born of his expertise in biodynamic viticulture.
Viticulture follows biodynamic principles, respecting the environment. In the winery, the approach is equally restrained, with minimal-intervention vinification and the wines benefit from a two-year-long ageing period in oak barriques. Pierre Vincent describes his vineyard as ‘haute couture’. The resulting cuvées are marked by refinement and poise, produced in very limited quantities. Volumes produced are extremely low.
Domaine Pierre Vincent nestles in Auxey-Duresses, between Meursault and Saint-Romain. The estate’s vines stretch over seven hectares scattered among the region’s most prestigious villages, such as Corton-Charlemagne, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and five other appellations, including Meursault, Savigny-Lès-Beaune, Volnay, Auxey-Duresses and Monthélie. The vineyard boasts 16 different climats, and produces a wide and varied range of wines. The vines, averaging 60 years of age, come from massale selections and are trained using the Cordon de Royat system.
