        Pointillart et Fils

The first to start growing vines was Ernest Pointillart, but it was not until 1946 that Jean Pointillart established the estate. His son Philippe then took over the reins of the family business, which he expanded extensively by acquiring new parcels while focusing on marketing bottles. Since 2006, his son, the fourth generation of winemakers, has taken the reins over. The six hectares of vines are planted in the commune of Écueil, classified as a Premier Cru and situated to the west of Reims. The winemaker is passionate and rigorous about preserving and applying traditional Champagne expertise, while adopting sustainable, sound viticulture methods based on the principles of integrated cultivation. The use of chemical fertilisers has been banished in favour of grass cover and manual ploughing. This meticulous work in the vineyard and the winery produces rare, fragrant wines that reflect all the characteristics of their terroir.
