        Sesti

The Sesti estate, tucked away in the heart of iconic Tuscany south of Montalcino, encompasses over 80 hectares of woodland, 13 hectares of vines and five hectares of olive groves. Giuseppe Maria Sesti, a keen astronomer, spent years studying the influence of the moon on the vines. He published his work at the end of the 20th century, with a view to reducing the use of chemicals in the vineyard and cellar. Today, with the support of his daughter Elisa, they cultivate their Sangiovese and Sauvignon vines with the greatest respect for the land and biodiversity. They meticulously adhere to strict organic and biodynamic farming practices. In the winery, vinification is low-interventionist, and sulphur is added in minute quantities to allow the fruit to fully express all its aromas naturally. The Italian domain produces rich, elegant and fruity vintages that perfectly reflect the region’s exceptional terroir.
