Alsace | 2004 vintage
After scorching weather in 2003, the weather conditions in 2004 were much more typical of the Alsatian climate. Although the end of the summer seemed to predict an outstanding vintage, this forecast rapidly changed due to a long rainy spell just before the harvest. Consequently, 2004 is not an outstanding year but is nevertheless a classic vintage of quality thanks to the good sanitary state of the grapes and excellent acidity levels. Due to a dull October, the Vendange Tardive (late harvest) and Sélection de Grains Nobles (Selection of Noble Berries) cuvées were produced in very limited quantities.
