Bordeaux | 1929 vintage
A very hot year with one of the longest droughts of the century. An extraordinarily vintage, the wines are extremely voluptuous, rich and fruity. The juice's high concentration made impressively-structured wines that were very high in tannins. Densely-coloured, with an extraordinary complex aromatic. There are so many excellent wines that it would be impossible to mention them all. The Sauternes were also exceptional and the monumental Yquem had not lost its touch. This was perhaps the vintage of the century for Sauternes, which were very sweet and rich, long on the palate with plenty of sap.
