Bordeaux | 1956 vintage
A catastrophic vintage in the Bordeaux region. After a spell of unusually mild weather, the vineyards were hit by very hard frosts in February. The majority of the Pomerol and Saint Emilion vineyards were destroyed. The harvest was sparse and the wines uninspiring.
