Burgundy | 1938 vintage
A promising start to the vegetative cycle was annihilated by a harsh frost on the 1st May. The harvest was to be very sparse. However, the summer made up for the poor spring, so much so that the grapes harvested late did actually manage to produce a wine of good quality, which has similarities to those of 1934.
