Nature was good to the vines this year as from mid-August the dry and hot weather produced a very healthy harvest of perfectly-ripened grapes. As regards quality, the wines offer a range of mostly excellent cuvées, characterised by good body and great finesse. As for quantity, the harvest produced a respectable amount of grapes, although less than in 1954. The wines are mostly refined and elegant.
