Champagne | 1997 vintage
The critical stages of the vine's development were disrupted by rain. A fairly good and supple vintage, 1997 produced well-matured champagnes which were nevertheless marked by a low acidity. A special mention for Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, where the wine-makers were more rigorous and managed to produce some quite good wines.
