Loire Valley | 1990 vintage
An excellent vintage that yielded rich, profoundly intense wines. Dry Savennières whites, full-bodied and opulent, are at their finest here, as are some excellent Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre. The Coteaux-du-Layon, Quarts-de-Chaume and Vouvray feature extraordinary quality and exceptional ageing potential for Loire wines. The red wines are just as good, boasting a fullness of red and dark fruit aromas and great maturity.
