Information
Passion Haut Brion is a truly exceptional vineyard. Planted with 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, the one and a half hectares of vines are right in the middle of those belonging to Château Haut Brion! From 1954 to 1978 this vineyard has produced its own wine. The grapes were subsequently incorporated into Château Haut-Brion's wines legislation prohibited vinification of two wines under the same label. In 2008 the owner, Michel Allary, decided to start production under a separate label, and fans have been able to enjoy La Passion Haut-Brion's wines again since that vintage. To ensure the best possible quality he called in Stéphane Derenoncourt, currently one of the most talented and in-demand experts, and proceeded to build a suitable cellar. Then the demise of Michel Allary in 2010 pushed the family to sell it to the Château Haut-Brion in 2012; thus there are no longer any wines being prduced under his label and bottles remaining from previous vintages are becoming rarities - the wine initially being already rare, then only 2,400 bottles were produced on this tiny terroir-.
Passion Haut Brion are renowned for being well balanced, silky and velvety, infused with superb aromas of blackcurrant and spices.
