    About the wine

This Château is a family property, and it currently falls on Michel Rolland to produce its exceptional wines. Taken up at the end of the 90s by Jean Dutruilh, the wines progressed further thanks to his meticulous work. Château La Croix Figeac occupies a chalky plateau near to Figeac and Cheval-Blanc, benefiting from a terroir of fine quality, most notably the plots in Lamarzelle which are close to the prestigious Château Figeac. The vineyard is exposed to the south, and its vines have an average age of 35 years. This cuvée is raised for a year and a half in barrels (90% new wood). The nose brings aromas of cherry and other red fruits, as well as liquorice notes. On the palate, the wine is elegant and balanced, supple, dense and velvety.
