Montrachet Grand Cru Marc Colin & Fils 2023

Of the many Colins in Burgundy, Domaine Marc Colin is perhaps the most famous. This Saint-Aubin estate asserted its reputation thanks to its high-flying whites. The winery has an impressive collection of terroirs in Chassagne, Puligny and several works of the mythical Montrachet. It is now his children, Caroline and Damien, who are at the head of the estate but they remain loyal to the property's identity. The quest for precision and accuracy is impressive, whether in the vineyard, during vinification or in the élevage. The red wines are also of a very high quality. A location which is not-to-be-missed in the Côte de Beaune.

Montrachet is often considered to be the best white wine in the world. It offers an astonishing concentration of the qualities of Burgundy's great white wines. These wines, with their rich, complex aromas, reminiscent of hazelnut and honey, are a beautiful shade of bright gold, with plenty of body and firmness – but also mellowness – and an intense, persistent flavour.
