Information
Le Clos Floridène, located in the Graves near Barsac (near the villages Pujols-sur-Ciron and Illats). Its history will remain forever linked to its founder Denis Dubourdieu, also known as Pope of the white wines. He created this domain and restored its vines to make it one of the references of the appellation. The wines are flamboyant, balanced, never too marked by the wood, even in their youth. Today, the two sons of Denis Dubourdieu, Fabrice and Jean-Jacques continue the family heritage in the five family properties(Château Doisy-Daëne, Clos Floridène, Château Reynon, Château Cantegril and Château Haura).
The red of Clos Floridène is matured in oak barrels for 12 months. Cabernet-Sauvignon cultivated on limestone soil gives here an unusual wine for Bordeaux, a cuvée of pleasure. The bouquet combines red and black fruits (blackcurrant, wild strawberry), notes of mint and licorice. On the palate, fruity flavors are found, with a silky, tannic and fresh material.
