Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Vieilles vignes Intra-muros Dominique Laurent 2002

Having acquired a real reputation with the wines from his trade, since 2006, with the help of his son, Dominique Laurent has also created a small producer-farming establishment from vineyards leased to a winemaker of Vosne-Romanée. He does not deal with vinification but élevage and bottling. Nevertheless, he supervises vinification. The father and son like to work grape musts that have not been destemmed and to mature their wines without sulphur. They use new barrels, the signature of the maison. Dominique Laurent's entire range of wines is characterised by a high degree of purity and to be accessible to all ages. This recipe has proved its worth to fans all over the world.

Clos de la Roche is one of the five grand crus produced by the commune of Morey-Saint-Denis on the Côte de Nuits (including Bonnes-Mares, which lies midway between Chambolle and Morey). This wine is a blend from several plots spread across the grand cru area. It offers a superb nose with raspberry aromas and a beautiful limestone minerality. The wine is ethereal, with very attractive length.
