Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru En Rémilly Bruno Colin 2012
Information
After taking his first steps in the family Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger, Bruno Colin took over the reins of his own farm in 2003 and signed his first cuvée a year later in 2004. His vines cover 8 hectares spread over five appellations of the Côte de Beaune: Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Maranges. Bruno Colin's values are seen in the image of his Chardonnays: clean and pure. The meticulous care he brings to his vineyard and cellar allows him to present white wines that perfectly reflect the terroir from which they come: mineral, polished and taut. An export praised by the Revue du Vin de France: "a very beautiful collection of Chardonnay terroirs which are perfectly worked and vinified, with good élevage and remarkable tension. The reds are progressing. A very reliable location".
Chassagne Montrachet Premier Cru en Remilly is highly sought-after and difficult to get hold of. It has a distinctive bouquet of lemony and spicy aromas. The palate is well structured, with some power and plenty of elegance and purity. This top-class wine makes a wonderful pairing with fine poultry-based dishes such as Bresse chicken with morels.
