Domaine Françoise and Denis Clair was created in 1986 with initially only 5 hectares in Santenay, from the plots of the Clair family. The vineyard has gradually extended to today's 15 hectares. Since 2000, the son Jean-Baptiste has joined his parents and works in the field; they also set up a small trading business to expand their range. The wines of this domaine are vinified in a modern style, with succulent reds and a fine, refined style of white.

Paired with refined dishes such as wild fish, white meat or a regional cheese, this Saint-Aubin will seduce you with the complexity of its bouquet - which reveals aromas of nuts (fresh almond, hazelnut), herbs such as fern and white-fleshed fruit. Its élevage in wood affords it woody, smoky notes and a rich, deep texture. A superb premier cru which deserves to be cellared for a few years.
