Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico DOCG Azienda Agricola Cos 2014

The three young winegrowers Giambattista Cilia, Giusto Occhipinti and Cirino Strano, founded Azienda Agricola COS in 1980 in Bastonaca, in south-eastern Sicily, initially producing 1,470 bottles from just 3 hectares. They subsequently expanded the domaine to 50 hectares and made the transition to biodynamic management and the use of terracotta amphorae in 2000. The domaine name COS is an acronym for the names of the three friends who founded it. Their cuvées overall are of good quality and are a fine tribute to their great terroirs whose winemaking reputation extends right back to Antiquity.

Cerasuolo di Vittoria exudes aromas of red fruit (cherry) and spicy, smoky notes. The palate is characterised by a well-rounded fruitiness, great acidity and a long finish.
