Meursault Pierre Morey (Domaine) 2007

The Morey family has been working in the vineyard in Meursault since 1793. Domaine Pierre Morey was created in 1971, from the family domaine, and is still managed by Pierre Morey, a former manager of the Domaine Leflaive, assisted by his daughter Anne. The 11-hectare domaine is spread over the communes of Monthelie, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet and especially Meursault; it is worked using the biodynamic approach. Pierre Morey also created a small trading business in 1992, Morey-Blanc, where the cuvées are carefully selected. The quality of the terroirs and the talents of the wine grower produce outstanding white wines, widely recognised but also very fine red wines. The whites are one of the best of Burgundian hierarchy. Unfortunately, the quantities available are low, and the bottles very rare for connoisseurs around the world. So, when you find them on iDealwine, don’t delay!

Here Pierre Morey has succeeded in producing a perfectly balanced Meursault: full-bodied and mineral. This is a wine to be enjoyed with food, such as foie gras or guinea fowl with morel mushrooms.
