Located in Rochefort-sur-Loire, Domaine des Baumard lies at the heart of the Loire valley. In 1634, Florent Baumard's ancestors settled in the region. Working closely with his terroir, Florent emphasised the importance of working closely with the vineyard when making wine. The soil is tilled and grass is grown between the vines.

For this, the domain has used gentle growing methods on Chenin Blanc on four hectares of shale, sandstone and sand. Harvested by hand, it has been pneumatically pressed in whole bunches before fermenting for a long time at a low temperature and aged for nine months in vats on its fine lees.
