These unwavering standards are what sets Maison Jadot apart in Burgundy. With 225 hectares under vine and representation across 130 appellations, not only in the Côte d’Or but also in the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, wine lovers can expect genuine pleasure at every price level, always easily identifiable by the iconic Bacchus head on the label. The estate favours traditional winemaking methods, with slow fermentations and extended ageing. Chemical herbicides are prohibited and yields are strictly limited. "Les Combettes" are located half-way down the fracture of the regions that form Burgundy. Chardonnay thrives on warm, well-drained soil. There is little soil, and conversely, many rocks: a key element for the minerality needed to make a great Puligny-Montrachet. This one is aged for 18 months in oak barrels.
