François Raquillet comes from a family of winemakers in their 10th generation. He took over the family domaine in 1990 which spans 10 hectares mostly in the Mercurey appellation. The range from Domaine Raquillet offer some of the finest examples of the appellation. The Mercurey La Brigadière is a wonderful white that pairs well with grilled fish. It has distinct aromas of white flowers and offers up great minerality in the mouth and a long finish.

Les Vasées is a Mercurey Premier Cru that has benefited from a mid-slope due southerly exposure in a marly limestone soil. The fifty-year-old vines have been harvested by hand, and the grapes have been destemmed before several days of cold maceration. They are fermented naturally, with only native yeasts used. The wine is then matured in casks for one year. Drink within six years to enjoy its rounded, juicy, silky, fruity palate.
