Albert Bichot is an illustrious maison of Burgundy. The family settled in Burgundy in 1350 but it was only in the 19th century that it became interested in the vine and vineyards. In 1831, Bernard Bichot developed a trading house in his name. Since 1996, Alberic Bichot (6th generation) has been working to raise the quality of wines produced. He acquired many plots, meaning that the maison now has 100 hectares of vineyards. Here we find the Clos Frantin on the Côte de Nuits, the Domaine du Pavillon and the Domaine Adélie on the Chalonnaise coast as well as the Domaine Long Depaquit in Chablis. These wines are certified as organic. At the same time, the maison carries out its trading business by purchasing only carefully selected grapes. The wines are all vinified in Beaune under the leadership of the very talented Alain Serveaux.

Côte De Nuits Villages from Albert Bichot is a good introduction to the domaine's wines. This quality Pinot Noir has a fruity nose (strawberry and cherry). It is well balanced on the palate with a pleasant acidity.
