Now owned by an American family, the wines are crafted under the assured direction of Frédéric Barnier, who safeguards the house’s hallmark precision and consistency. These unwavering standards are what sets Maison Jadot apart in Burgundy. With 225 hectares under vine and representation across 130 appellations, not only in the Côte d’Or but also in the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, wine lovers can expect genuine pleasure at every price level, always easily identifiable by the iconic Bacchus head on the label. The estate favours traditional winemaking methods, with slow fermentations and extended ageing. Chemical herbicides are prohibited and yields are strictly limited. This cuvée is aged for 15 to 18 months in barrels. The nose unfurls a beautiful complexity, with aromas of black fruit, leather and spicy notes. On the palate, many silky tannins abound. This wine will pair wonderfully with red meat, game and mature cheeses.
