Domaine Les Bastides, situated in the commune of Puy Sainte-Réparade just north of Aix-en-Provence, was acquired by a family of Provencal winemakers in 1967. Anne-Marie and Jean Salen produced their first vintage in 1976, having converted to organic viticulture in 1975. Today it is their daughter Carole who ably runs the domaine. Her winemaking eschews all artificial additions, ferments are spontaneous and their wines are matured slowly in large 50 hectolitre oak foudres.

The Les Bastides white is a blend of Sauvignon, De Rolle, Clairette and Ugni Blanc varieties. It is vinified in vats and the resulting wine is pleasantly fruity, balanced, supple and fresh which pairs particularly well with fish or seafood.
