With 225 hectares under vine and representation across 130 appellations, not only in the Côte d’Or but also in the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, wine lovers can expect genuine pleasure at every price level, always easily identifiable by the iconic Bacchus head on the label. The estate favours traditional winemaking methods, with slow fermentations and extended ageing. Chemical herbicides are prohibited and yields are strictly limited. Marl-chalk soil and exposure to the east lead to the production of a beautiful cuvée. Harvesting by hand precedes a short maceration, with over three weeks in vats and then a maturation in oak barrels (2/3 new wood). The resulting wine is quite chewy with red fruits, animal hints, and a touch of spice. The marked acidity and supple tannins give a lovely finish. Ideal to accompany dishes like meat in sauce or marinated game. To be aged for ten to twenty years.
