    Information
    About the producer

Gordon’s London Dry Gin was developed for the first time in 1769 by Alexander Gordon, a London-based Scot. The drink’s popularity with the Royal Navy quickly enabled the brand to be exported to the four corners of the globe and, more specifically, to the British colonies. In 1898, Gordon & Co merged with Charles Tanqueray & Co to form Tanqueray Gordon & Co. This was then incorporated into Diageo’s predecessor the Distillers Company Limited (DCL) in 1922.

    About the wine

A dry gin from Tanqueray Gordon & Co Ltd. A version for duty free sale at 47.4% ABV, bottling estimated to be from the 1970s. Bottle equipped with a stamped screw cap.
