About the wine
The Monte dei Frati cuvée from domain La Felce is made from 40-year-old Vermentino vines planted in sedimentary sandstone soil. The harvest is destemmed and macerated on lees for 48 hours. They are fermented naturally, using only wild yeasts, in 25-hl stainless steel vats. The wine is then matured in the same containers for three months. In the glass, we find a wine that is bursting with freshness, structured, offering a lovely concentration and a hint of salinity. It has a lingering finish that is delicately tannic. A gastronomic wine, it can be enjoyed with characterful, salty dishes.
