About the producer
Originally known as Kilnflat, this distillery was renamed by Charles Kay in 1871. It was then bought by Hiram Walker, who used almost all of the malt for the Ballantine's blended whisky. For this reason, most Glenburgie single malts are only available as independent bottlings.
About the wine
A Glenburgie distilled in 1967 and bottled at cask strength in 1999 by Scottish independent bottler Signatory Vintage after 31 years of maturation in a sherry cask (#11158). This edition is part of the Millennium series released by Signatory Vintage to mark the start of the third millennium. A limited edition of 150 bottles.
