Old Hickory is a bourbon brand named in tribute to President Andrew Jackson. It was produced by Continental Distillers at the Publicker distillery. The Philadelphia-based Publicker Industries group is known for having invested heavily in Scotch whisky and for founding the Inver House Distillers group in 1964. The brand is now owned by the R.S. Lipman Company. The Publicker distillery no longer exists and the whiskey is produced by MGP in Indiana.
