Information
Produced in Morocco’s Benslimane region, this is an exceptional red wine. Alain Graillot enjoys sharing his passion for wine both in France and abroad. By partnering with Jacques Poulain, a Bordeaux oenologist based in Morocco at Domaine Ouled Thaleb (Meknès region, Morocco), they have produced a 100% Syrah wine, a variety in which Alain Graillot specialises. The vines benefited from a distinctive climate: hot summers, tempered by very cool nights. The Syrah vines were tended by hand.
This lovely red, reminiscent of Crozes-Hermitage, is a real triumph of freshness and a brilliant find that transports you to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Alain Graillot’s vines are farmed organically. Tandem is a Moroccan Syrah, made from grapes grown in the Benslimane region. It offers an aromatic expression of very ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry) and spice. Generous, ripe and expressive, the palate retains striking freshness and offers beautifully elegant tannins. Such an accomplished wine makes a compelling case for Syrah in Morocco’s vineyards.
