John Bisset & Company Ltd was founded in Aberdeen in 1828. In 1926 it acquired the lease for the Royal Brackla distillery, a key component in its blends.

    About the wine

A Bisset’’s Finest Old blended scotch whisky bottled by John Bisset & Co Ltd and imported to France by Galaud Drouot in the 1970s. John Bisset & Co was a subsidiary of Distillers Company Limited from 1943 and at the time held the license for Royal Brackla, which is therefore likely to have been used in the blend.
