On 29 May 2001 Bruichladdich began producing Port Charlotte, a whisky peated to 40 ppm. Port Charlotte is now available in a wide range of versions, offering different age statements, casks and barley sources - all accompanying the distillery's other bottlings, Bruichladdich and Octomore.

A 9 year old Port Charlotte single cask (#1653) distilled in 2006 and bottled for the Cask Exploration range. As the name implies, this range explores the attributes of the various casks used at Port Charlotte. This limited edition of 393 bottles was matured in a Rivesaltes cask. The Valinch range features single casks bottled in 50 cl bottles available only at the distillery.
