Information
Gevrey-Chambertin, one of Burgundy’s iconic appellations, famous for over 1,000 years, is home to 26 different climats. The Pinot Noir vines, planted at an altitude of between 100 and 350 metres, thrive on marl soils and enjoy a continental climate. The estate applies organic and biodynamic farming methods to the highest standards. All chemical fertilisers and weedkillers are prohibited in favour of a gentler, more environmentally friendly approach to viticulture. The same precision applies in the winery. The harvested and sorted grapes are vinified with little intervention, in whole bunches and without sulphur. This rare and unique wine is aged in barrels for several months before being bottled.
The ruby-red colour reveals a spellbinding bouquet characterised by aromas of blackcurrant, vanilla and coffee. The generous and rich palate reveals delicate fruity aromas gently leading to a fragrant, persistent finish.
