Information
One of the nine Grands Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin and the Côte de Nuits, Charmes-Chambertin wines are renowned for their fleshy character and long finish. The Pinot Noir vines thrive on a perfectly exposed hillside, planted in soils consisting of marl, pebbles and iron. The rocky, fractured subsoil ensures the vines spread their roots deep enough to draw all the nutrients they require to thrive. In the winery, the hand-picked grapes are vinified according to traditional methods. The cuvée undergoes a long ageing process in oak casks before being bottled.
The dark ruby-red colour reveals a nose characterised by aromas of blackcurrant and vanilla combined with subtle notes of coffee. The rich, elegant palate gently leads to an intense and incredibly long finish. This cuvée offers excellent ageing potential.
