    Information
    About the producer

Domaine Henri Clerc et Fils was founded in the 16th century in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet. In 2002, his descendant Bernard Clerc, retired and sold a large part of his vines to Vincent Girardin. The latter vinifies and matures his wines at Meursault, after manual harvesting of the prestigious vines of the Côte de Beaune, such as Bienvenue, Bâtard-Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet. The time taken for aging in oak barrels (of which 30% are renewed each year), varies between 11 and 13 months

    About the wine

Domaine Henri Clerc was founded in the 16th century and lies at the heart of the Puligny-Montrachet commune in the prestigious Côte de Beaune region. Here the estate offers us a wine produced from the renowned Clos-de-Vougeot Grand Cru. The Pinot Noir vines planted on the estate benefit from an oceanic climate with semi-continental influences, and draw the nutrients they require to thrive from soils consisting of marl and limestone. The estate prefers hand-picking, allowing the grapes to be thoroughly sorted. The traditional winemaking process concludes with ageing in oak casks, with 30% replaced every year.
Designed to be cellared for a good fifteen years, the complex bouquet of red and black fruit, violet, sweet spices, leather and humus makes this wine a real crowd-pleaser, opening up onto a deep palate structured by fine tannins.
