Information
Domaine Coquard Loison Fleurot, located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, is now operated by the fifth generation, producing an exceptional Chambolle-Musigny. The Pinot Noir grapes used to produce this wine flourish in a semi-oceanic climate with semi-continental influences, and are encouraged to draw the nutrients they require from soils consisting of marl, limestone and clay, by means of environmentally friendly cultivation methods. The grapes are hand-picked, which allows a rigorous sorting process. Then, they are destemmed and fermented in open vats for around two weeks. The wine then matures for a year and a half in oak casks and is bottled without fining or filtering.
We would advise you to allow this wine to rest for at least five years to appreciate the fine balance of density and fine tannins it will develop over time. The rich bouquet of red and black fruit, sweet spices, leather, pepper and violet introduces a round palate with velvety tannins.
