Though not initially an expert in winemaking, Arnaud Tessier took over this estate, which bears the same name, in the early 2000s, driven by his undeniable determination: his passion for the vines and the soil. He has a clear mission, to produce fine grapes from his plants to make great wines. He has achieved this by using characteristic methods such as ploughing and careful diligence inspired by organic agriculture. The estate is not huge, but it does have some very fine vintages, such as this Murisaltian Premier Cru called Poruzots. The resulting wine is generally quite intense, deep and full-bodied. These elements of character remain true once bottled; made for cellaring for ten or so years, wines created by the estate present a delicious attack marked by notes of white and yellow fruits, fresh almonds and hints of gentle spice. The texture is full-bodied but balanced by incredible minerality which gives it freshness and persistence.
