Information
Domaine Bernard Morey is located in Chassagne-Montrachet. His children, Vincent and Sophie, have now managed the domaine since the 2006 vintage. The domaine was renamed when they took office: Domaine Vincent and Sophie Morey.
Known since 2006 for the name’s of Vincent and Sophie Morey, Domaine Bernard Morey was located in the famous commune of Chassagne-Montrachet. He crafted a prestigious wine from the Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, a plot that enjoys an oceanic climate with semi-continental influence. The Chardonnay grapes built their character by drawing the necessary nutrients needed to flourish from soils steeped in limestone and marl.
Aged in wood, this wine presents excellent ageing potential. On tasting, the wine reveals a pale yellow colour tinted with green glints, which over time, turn gold. Its thick rim and complex fragrance are sure signs of this wine’s character. Notes of white fruits, citrus, butter, fresh almonds and fresh baked goods emanate from the glass. The wine's great natural acidity gives it the potential to age into a seductive and delicious cuvée.
