    About the producer

Originally from Burgundy, Morgane Seuillot spent several years working with biodynamic estates in Australia before returning to settle in Mavilly-Mandelot, in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, in 2016. Her three hectares of vines are spread across seven plots in the villages of Mavilly and Meloisy, planted to Chardonnay, Aligoté, Pinot Noir and Gamay. The vineyards are cultivated as naturally as possible, entirely by hand and worked with a horse. An undeniable advantage given that her father has long been ploughing the soils for numerous Burgundian estates. In the winery, the wines have been natural from the very first vintage. The grapes are vinified as whole clusters, and pressing is carried out with an old wooden press. No additives, no sulphur. Everything is done by hand, right down to the labels, cut individually from beautiful handmade paper from an Auvergne mill that incorporates small local flowers. Wines of Great precision and striking freshness. A producer to follow closely!

    About the wine

Morgane Seuillot, a true Burgundy native, kicked off her winemaking career in Australia, where she embraced biodynamic farming, before heading back to her roots in Burgundy. Based in the Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune region, she produces a Côteaux-Bourguignon red from Pinot Noir vines grown in an oceanic climate with semi-continental influences. The soil consists of clay and limestone, which are carefully and respectfully cultivated to provide all the essential nutrients the vines need to flourish. The vines are tended by hand and the soil is ploughed with the help of a horse.
In the cellar, the winemaking process is as natural and low-interventionist as possible. This involves working with whole bunches, no inputs, including sulphur, throughout the process.
In the glass, the ruby-red colour reveals notes of red and black berries. The tannins are crisp and the wine is enlivened by a beautiful freshness.
