Information
Domaine Kohut, nestled in Couchey in the heart of Burgundy’s wine-growing landscape, was founded in 1932 when Thédore Kohut and his sister fled poverty in Poland and settled in Burgundy. With the support of his wife Stéphania and their three children, Thédore Kohut cultivated his vineyards with passion. His son Jacques Kohut took over the reins of the estate in 1999. He has continued to develop it ever since. He is determined to preserve the family’s traditional Burgundian expertise, while remaining open to new technological advances to produce and cultivate more sustainably. High Environmental Value accredited, the vineyard prides itself on working its vineyards with the greatest respect for the land and biodiversity. In the winery, the spirit is similar. Vinification is low interventionist. The Kohut domain produces authentic and delicious vintages that perfectly reflect the terroir and grape varieties of the region.
